Mission
In Ireland, Neoen owns a 53 MW portfolio of eight commissioned wind farms and 3 solar farms cumulating 58 MWp. It is also at varying stages of development of a growing number of greenfield solar, wind and energy storage facilities.
Our Development Team is looking for a Business Development Manager. Reporting to the Managing Director Ireland, you will be in charge of the development of a portfolio of wind, solar, and battery storage projects, from identifying the site to securing the land and the permits until construction starts.
The main tasks include:
- Prospection of new sites for the development of projects;
- Analysis of the electrical network infrastructures to facilitate the interconnection of the projects;
- Development of plans to lead or assist with landowner negotiations (on site, road access, cable, and overhead line wayleaves, etc.);
- External stakeholder management including local communities, local authorities, and elected representatives;
- Oversight of third-party partners and providers of technical services;
- Management of the Environmental Impact Assessment Report (EIAR) and planning process from initial stages through to handover to our pre-construction team;
- Execution of financial models;
- Support of the development of a business case in the acquisition of wind, solar and energy storage projects;
- Support of the submission of offers in the case of public or private tenders;
- Support of the Construction and Asset management teams during the initial phases of the performance of the services;
- Familiarity with and guarantee of compliance with Health & Safety procedures;
- Regular management reporting.
Profile
- Master’s degree in engineering, planning or business administration, with specialization in renewable energy, environment or project management;
- 5 to 10 years of work experience with similar tasks; experience in wind farm projects development is considered an advantage;
- Proficiency in the use of GIS/AutoCad software is considered an advantage;
- Strong motivation to work in a complex environment : you are organized, open-minded and able to work independently; you are capable of working on several projects in parallel;
- Solid analytical skills, strong adaptability, efficiency;
- Social skills, excellent oral and written expression;
- Leadership and team spirit;
- Integrity, ethical standards and sound judgement;
- Intellectual curiosity, passion and self-motivation;
- Full clean driving license (frequent travelling will be required for field work within Ireland and occasional travel for meetings at the Headquarters in Paris, France).
