Mission
Neoen is developing a large pipeline of new wind, solar and storage projects in Australia. To support the delivery of these projects Neoen is seeking a VIE Commercial Manager to build its commercial team to develop, market and sell new electricity products from these projects. Neoen must seize opportunities in the electricity market by positioning itself favourably with large electricity consumers and buyers (including retailers).
Your role will be to support the commercial side of Neoen’s projects. You will interact transversely with the Energy Management, Development, Finance, Procurement and Construction teams. You will support Neoen’s response to tenders for energy or services organised by consumers, governments or market bodies. You will engage with Neoen’s potential customers (and their advisers) to understand their requirements and increase Neoen’s customer (and competition) awareness.
Main missions:
- Identify potential electricity buyers and assess their requirements
- Contribute to the development of compelling commercial offers
- Support the negotiation of long-term bankable electricity contracts with identified customers, including the negotiation of commercial and legal terms under Power Purchase Agreements or similar commercial agreements
- Assist with (and lead where appropriate) Neoen’s tender responses for the provision of both standard and innovative products

- Corporates with significant electricity load
- Neoen teams: Energy Management, Development, Finance, Procurement, Construction

Profile
- Graduate or post graduate degree in business or engineering
- Experience in the energy industry and an understanding of electricity markets is an advantage, but not necessary
- Demonstrated sales and/or business development skills
- Strong negotiation capabilities
- An ability to critically analyse and interpret new concepts and data
- Ability to work autonomously: you may lead tender responses and commercial proposals with limited guidance.
- Strong drive to conclude deals with a proactive attitude
- Fluent in English
- On the soft skills side, we are looking for someone:
o Interpersonal skills and ability to work in a transversal organization
o Rigorous, organized and ready to work on several projects in parallel in a fast running and high skilled environment
o Strong communication skills
