Business Development Manager

In Ireland, Neoen has 410 MW of renewable assets in operation or under construction. The portfolio includes 3 operating solar farms totalling 58 MWp, 4 solar farms which are under construction and total 300 MWp, as well as 8 operating wind farms with a total capacity of 53 MW. In addition, Neoen has a pipeline of 1.8 GW in development across wind, solar, BESS and Data Center projects.

Our Development Team is looking for a Business Development Manager. You will be responsible for the development of a portfolio of projects which may include wind, solar, battery storage and data center sites. 

The main tasks may include:

• Site analysis to identify new sites for the development of projects across wind, solar, BESS and data centers;
• Analysis of the electrical network infrastructures and engagement with the TSO to secure interconnection of the projects;
• Lead or assist with landowner negotiations (on site, road access, cable, and overhead line wayleaves, etc.);
• Progress projects through the land acquisition, planning process and grid connection process; managing landowners, other stakeholders and service providers;
• Assist with identifying routes to market for the various technologies, including participating in RESS auctions;
• Management of financial models supporting the business case of projects to support the achievement of NTP;
• Adherence to Health & Safety procedures and regular management reporting.

• Degree in Engineering, planning or business administration, with specialisation in renewable energy, environment or project management;
• At least 2 years of relevant work experience developing renewable or infrastructure projects;
• Experience and knowledge of the Irish planning system;
• Understanding of the Irish grid network and connection processes;
• Experience in the data center sector is advantageous but not required;
• Strong motivation to work in a complex environment: you are organised, open-minded and able to work independently; you can work on several projects in parallel;
• Team player with the ability to foster and maintain good working relationships both internally and with external stakeholders;
• Strong entrepreneurial mindset;
• Full clean driving license (in-country travelling will be required for field work within Ireland and occasional travel for meetings at the Headquarters in Paris, France).
