Mission

To support the reliability, security and growth of its Australian operations, Neoen is seeking an experienced IT Manager Australia, reporting directly to the Group CIO based in France.

The role is hands-on and operational, within a lean local IT team of three people (including the IT Manager). It covers the delivery of IT and OT services across Australia, with strong exposure to industrial (renewable energy) environments, a high level of dependency on external service providers and stringent cybersecurity requirements.

The role requires independent decision-making on day-to-day operations, incident management, vendor coordination and local prioritization, while ensuring strict alignment with Group frameworks, policies and standards. The objective is to secure IT & OT operations, support local business and asset operations in line with Group standards.

Key Responsibilities

IT & OT Service Delivery (Hands on)

  • Lead, organize and support the local IT team, setting priorities and ensuring effective execution.
  • Ensure availability, reliability and performance of IT and OT services supporting both corporate offices and industrial sites.
  • Actively contribute to day to day IT operations, in line with the size of the local team.
  • Oversee local service providers delivering helpdesk, workplace and on site support services.
  • Monitor incidents, changes, service performance and continuous improvement actions.

Cybersecurity & Operational Resilience

  • Ensure local implementation of Group cybersecurity policies across IT and OT environments.
  • Ensure compliance with Australian cybersecurity and critical infrastructure regulations, including the SOCI Act (Security of Critical Infrastructure).
  • Act as local coordinator in cybersecurity incidents, ensuring proper escalation and remediation.
  • Contribute to audits, risk assessments and security improvement initiatives.

Industrial & Energy Systems Context

  • Support IT systems interfacing with renewable energy operations.
  • Understand industrial availability constraints, OT environments and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure alignment between IT, OT and business needs in an energy production context.

Vendors & Local Partners Management

  • Manage and coordinate local IT and OT service providers.
  • Ensure service quality, cybersecurity compliance and alignment with Group standards.
  • Coordinate escalations, remediation plans and service improvements.

Coordination with Group IT

  • Work closely with Group IT teams on global and regional projects.
  • Ensure effective local deployment and adoption of Group solutions.
  • Capture and manage local regulatory, operational or asset specific requirements.

Business Interface

  • Act as the primary IT & cybersecurity point of contact for Australian management.
  • Translate business, operational and asset needs into IT priorities.
  • Provide transparency on IT risks, cybersecurity posture and delivery status.

Profile

You have 10+ years of experience in IT roles with strong exposure to operations and service delivery, ideally in an industrial or energy environment, including experience managing small IT teams.

You bring:

  • Strong hands on IT operations experience in lean organizations.
  • Solid understanding of cybersecurity fundamentals, including IT & OT constraints.
  • Experience working with external service providers.
  • Exposure to the renewable energy industry is a strong advantage.
  • Knowledge of Bazefield and/or the AEMO ecosystem is a significant plus.
  • Ability to operate autonomously, prioritize and act pragmatically.

Fluent English is mandatory
