Mission
We are looking for a Communications & Engagement Officer for Neoen Australia, who will report to the Communications & Engagement Manager.
The role is full time for a contract period of one year.
Communications
- Support the coordination and delivery of Neoen Australia’s media releases, social media content and media responses in line with corporate communication policies and guidelines ;
- Support the development and coordination of content, format and timing of Neoen Australia’s major announcements and ad-hoc communications with internal project teams, key stakeholders & partners, media agency Red Havas and Neoen’s Head Office ;
- Development and updating of content & on-brand visual design for websites, videos, project posters, booklets, newsletters, templates and presentations ;
- Development and delivery of quarterly Neoen Australia internal newsletter ;
- Help coordinate project events such as community information days, launches, opening ceremonies, site visits and celebrations in cooperation with Neoen’s Event Management consultant CEG ;
- Close cooperation with consultants on delivery of wider range of communication projects and content. Including media -FleishmanHillard, video & websites - Floodlight, design - Hillary Lang, local Community Engagement Consultants and First Nations Participation Officers.
Engagement
- Contribute to the development and implementation of resources and activities that deliver positive long-term outcomes for communities surrounding Neoen’s projects, including benefit-sharing, participation and education programs ;
- Support the implementation of project-specific community engagement plans and activities with Project, Construction & Asset Managers ;
- Support Construction Managers in coordination and implementation of engagement activities including videos, newsletters and stakeholder visits ;
- Support Asset Managers in coordination, implementation and reporting of project Community Benefit Sharing and annual newsletter ;
- Develop expertise in Neoen’s Stakeholder Register tool ‘Simply Stakeholders’, including onboarding of team members ;
- Support delivery of and attend project community engagement events such as community information days and site visits ;
- Collating and reporting of Sustainability Framework metrics and outcomes.
Profile
We’re looking for someone with :
- A degree in Communications, Media or related discipline ;
- At least 2-3 years’ experience in a communications role, within an agency, consultancy or in-house ;
- Some experience in or exposure to renewable energy sector (not a requirement) ;
- Strong interpersonal communication and project management skills.
