Mission

Our Global Operations team is looking for a Bazefield Super User who will be responsible for managing, configuring and globally optimizing the implementation and usage of the Bazefield platform for Neoen. The Super User will act as the primary in-house administrator who ensures the software is configured to meet specific business, contractual, and operational requirements, serving as the liaison between Neoen Operations team’s, users, Bazefield support team and Neoen’s IT department. The Super User will report directly to the Global Operations Manager and functionally to Neoen’s IT department manager responsible for the deployment of the Bazefield platform.

The Bazefield Super User will be responsible for, amongst other :

  • Managing, customizing, and optimizing the Bazefield platform within the organization;
  • Act as the primary liaison between end-users (operators, asset managers, construction managers, IT/OT system managers) and ensuring the system's advanced functionalities are utilized appropriately; 
  • Lead all global operations functions within Neoen to ensure the standardized and optimized usage of the Bazefield platform; 
  • Set internal policies and guidelines for users within the organization, to use the platform with maximum benefits to Neoen and its global renewable assets (Wind, Solar and BESS);
  • Manage evolutions of the platform by assisting the Neoen IT Department to identify, analyze and implement associated infrastructure upgrades, storage nodes, and software changes. This includes drafting functional specifications on behalf of the user;
  • Responsible to represent and coordinate the users during new site validation (including coordinating the data needs), and manage user inputs for deployment of new assets onto the platform, as well as coordinating specific user support effectively; 
  • Actively support regions to establish and implement continuous improvement initiatives by using the platform by translating usable data from advanced analytics to data that can be utilize in planning for potential improvement of assets and optimizing performance outputs;
  • Assist asset management to create reporting needs for operating assets by using the Bazefield platform and perform contract management of the Bazefield platform service agreements;
  • Ensuring the effective implementation of the platform availability and achieving the objectives set within the organization to gain from the platform; and,
  • Ensuring the platform adapts and integrates to the company’s specific business processes.

Main goals

  • Data Modeling & Validation: Managing asset models and templates, performing pre-requisite data validation for new site onboarding, and ensuring data integrity from SCADA systems.
  • Performance & Alarm Management: Configuring advanced, rule-based alarms, categories, and workflows for downtime analysis and fault handling. Monitor platform stability and communication continuity. 
  • User Training & Support: Providing internal training for, and mentoring users. 
  • Advanced Analytics & Reporting: Utilizing Bazefield agreed display dashboards and analytical tools to identify root causes of performance issues, while ensuring to guide regional champions and users to adopt a sustainable approach in this regard.
  • Integration Support: Assisting with the integration of third-party tools like CMMS or ERP systems for automated work order management, or similar, utilizing Bazefield data.
  • API/Expert Module Usage: Utilizing APIs, scripting services, and other backend tools to extend system functionality. 
  • Strategic Platform Leadership & Optimization: Translate complex analytics into strategic recommendations to optimize performance and maximize ROI, and lead the global Bazefield strategy, configuration, and standardization across all of Neoen’s assets.

Profile

The candidate will need the following skills and experience to succeed in this role : 

  • Qualifications: Engineering degree, or similar, with relevant project management advanced skills training.
  • Technical Expertise: minimum 5 years’ experience managing renewable energy operations or asset management (wind, solar, BESS) and IT/OT systems. 
  • System Proficiency: In-depth knowledge of Bazefield (preferred), SCADA systems, data integration, IT/OT infrastructure, with strong understanding of performance monitoring tools.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze large datasets, identify underperformance or technical issues.
  • Software Familiarity: Experience with data modeling, reporting tools, and workflow automation. 
  • Real-time Situational Awareness: Ability to monitor portfolio performance and manage downtime events effectively.
  • Stakeholder Management: Coordinating with internal teams, including O&M Contractors, asset management, and IT. High proficiency in written and verbal English, proficiency in other languages such as French advantageous.
  • Troubleshooting: Expert-level capability in resolving system-level issues within the platform. 
  • Agility: able to adapt to different environments and global organizational challenges with strong expertise in driving standardization. Knowledge and skill managing the deployment of complex projects, as well as Bazefield. 
  • Able to travel globally to the operating regions of Neoen, while the majority of time is expected to be spent in the Neoen head office in Paris.
