Mission

Our Compliance team is looking for a Compliance Manager to be based  in Paris to play a strategic role in strengthening and overseeing the Group’s global compliance framework. This position requires strong technical expertise in anti-corruption and international regulatory frameworks, combined with the ability to partner with senior leadership and operational teams to embed a culture of integrity across the organization. The Compliance Manager will support Neoen’s business using technical expertise and understanding of regulation to finalize the design and implement compliance programs that meet applicable regulatory requirements, including inter alia the FCPA and UKBA.

Neoen Compliance team develops and implements policies and procedures, systems and controls, training and communications, monitoring activities, and management reporting to prevent, detect and respond to violations of law and company policies.

The Compliance Manager will manage one Compliance Officer.

Reporting to the General Counsel based in Paris, France, the main duties for the role will include: 

  • Improvement and global implementation of anti-corruption and compliance policies and procedures in line with the FCPA, UKBA and other applicable regulations.
  • Enhancement of the Group-wide corruption risk assessment framework, including methodology, stakeholder engagement, and monitoring of remediation plans.
  • Supervision of the implementation and effectiveness of compliance controls across business; conduct of compliance audits and gap analyses and driving corrective action plans with senior operational stakeholders.
  • Taking the lead on the implementation of the third-party due diligence framework, ensuring risk-based segmentation, appropriate escalation, and documentation standards.
  • Acting as a trusted partner to Neoen employees and senior management on ethical and compliance matters, providing pragmatic and risk-based guidance.
  • Developing, animating, and coordinating a global compliance network of local compliance contacts, ensuring consistency of standards and effective information flow.
  • Preparation and delivery of tailored compliance training programs for employees and senior management.
  • Working closely with the Legal team to draft and negotiate anti-bribery and compliance clauses.
  • Leading and overseeing internal investigations into alleged misconduct, ensuring independence and evidentiary integrity, and reporting findings to senior leadership and, where appropriate, governance bodies.

Profile

The candidate will need the following skills and experience to succeed in this role:

  • Master’s degree in law, Compliance, or related field
  • 7-10 years previous compliance management experience, gained in an international environment
  • Strong expertise in anti-corruption frameworks (FCPA, UKBA) and solid understanding of international compliance best practices
  • Demonstrated first management and experience managing key external stakeholders and third-party consultants
  • Excellent communications and interpersonal skills, confident at liaising with people from all levels of business including the senior management team
  • Ability to adapt to diverse environments and manage multiple priorities
  • Independent and autonomous working style - you will be the compliance  main stakeholder within Neoen group worldwide 
  • You bring initiative, collaboration, and your curious nature to examine and re-engineer process, policies and strategies
  • Fluency in English
  • Fluency in Italian or Spanish would be a plus 

The role is based in Paris but might require occasional travel to Neoen’s locations worldwide from time to time.
